Shape an authentic narrative of Iranian women's endeavors and struggles to gain equal civil rights, and preserve the legacy of the Iranian women's rights movement through a comprehensive research and documentation that brings inspiration for the future generations.

The IranWomen.Center strives to:

- Create a unified platform with an assorted collection of research studies, digital and physical records, and items accessible to the public;

- Foster an educated dialogue on the situation of women's rights movement in Iran by organizing thematic exhibitions, public events, seminars and conferences to raise awareness on the status of women in Iran and their efforts to achieve gender parity,

- Promote accountability and respect for the equal rights of women in Iran and enable exchange and synergies among feminists in transnational levels.

“Documentation Matters” Support Abandoned Voices!

"Abandoned Voices," a 3-years project, is bibliographical research on female Iranian singers who face fanatic obstacles and discrimination that prohibit them from performing publicly. The initiative is dedicated to documenting women's struggles for equality, restoring a narrative of artistic resistance, and the role of female voices in Iran's culture in the past century. Its produced resources in audiovisual exhibitions, publications, and podcasts will be published on a designated website.

The Iranian Women’s Movement Museum (IRWMM) is a research project initiated by Mansoureh Shojaee, an Iranian women’s movement activist and researcher. This undertaking has been developed in cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

From Evin with love

All the resources, reports, and documents that were to be published and presented on International Women’s Day as the first exhibit of the Women’s Museum. The agents arrested her and took her to Evin Prison.

These endeavours resulted in the completion of the research project's first stage, which was initiated in September 2017 as a joint effort with the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
